Madressah Imaam Ahmed Raza was officially opened on the 10 January 2011 at 251 Pearl Street, Laudium, under the spiritual guidance of Huzoor Taajush shriah Mufti Mohammad Akhtar Raza Khan Al Azhari, Great Grandson of A’la Hazrat and Grandson of Huzoor Mufti Azam. The Madressah is led by Moulana Moosa Raza as chairman and principal, and supported by a team of committee members.
Our head office is in 618/622 Eli Street, Erasmia, Pretoria, where the beautiful Masjid-e-Hasnain is also located.
Classes are currently held at various branches in Laudium, Erasmia and Raslouw in Pretoria as well as in Durban and Harrismith during the afternoons in a clean and secure environment.
We teach Qur’aan with Tajweed, Hifz, Qir’at, Aalim course, Arabic speaking course, Urdu speaking course, Naats, Aqaayed of Ahle Sunnah wal Jama’ah, History, Deeniyaat (Fiqh) Hanafi & Shafi’ee, Akhlaaq etc. We also offer adult ladies classes during weekends.
We currently have more than 300 students at our Madressah, 19 teachers and 3 drivers. Transport is provided as well. We have recently opened a branch in Harrismith and with your support will be opening another branch in Shallcross, Durban soon In Sha Allah.
